JROTC Cadets

Huntington High School Army JROTC has won first place in the state of West Virginia Rifle Marksmanship.

The winning team consisted of Cadet Braxton Freeman, Jasmine Andrus, Gab Null and Nathaniel King.

This is not the only award the JROTC students received recently.  At the 4-H Rifle Match conducted at Wayne High school in January, two teams from Huntington High took top honors.  Team one, consisting of Cadets Braxton Freeman, Gabriel Null and Nathaniel King, placed second; and team two, consisting of Cadets, Jasmine Andrus, Jack Perry and Matthew Ferguson placed fifth.  Eighty-two individual shooters competed with Cadet Braxton Freeman placing second and Cadet Gabriel Null placing third.  The JROTC rifle team instructors are Major Paul Clark and Sergeant Miles Duncil.
